In 2014/2015, he worked at the academic base of the medical faculty of the Technical University of Munich, clinic in Weinheim as a senior surgeon.

In 2013, together with Professor Stiegler and Professor Yauch, he founded a foundation and an exchange program in Germany, which was named in honor of Professor Nodar Grigol. Thanks to this project/fund, about 550 students and young doctors had the opportunity to improve their qualifications as fellows in the academic and basic clinics of the Ludwig-Maximilian University for 3 months.

In 2013, he was awarded the title of honorary doctor of the Tbilisi State Medical University.

In 2019, he was awarded an honorary degree by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia: in recognition of his contribution to the development of Georgian and German medicine and science by representatives of the diaspora.

In 2019, he was a foreign expert invited by the National Center for the Development of the Quality of Education as the Chairman of the Commission for the Study of the Quality of the Educational Process at the University of Georgia.

In 2020, New Vision University was awarded the title of professor of the Department of General and Visceral Surgery.
