The presentation of the German medical diagnostic center "Deutsches Diagnosticum" was held at the "Sheraton" hotel. According to the information from the Ministry of Health, with the help of the center, through digital health services, patients will be able to consult remotely with German specialists and hear an alternative opinion about their health condition.
The center offers systematic, highly qualified, German medical experience to local patients.

"It will be possible to obtain high-quality conclusions from laboratory tests and X-ray diagnostics. With the involvement of the doctor of the German diagnostic center and the patient's personal doctor, it is possible to meet with the council of German doctors. Also, by means of telemedicine, receiving the services that correspond to the German highly qualified medical standard", the information says.

Minister of Health, Ekaterine Tikaradze attended the presentation of the medical diagnostic center. The minister positively assessed the initiative and emphasized the benefits that the mentioned project will bring to the population of Georgia.

"This is a truly beneficial project that will bring Georgian medicine and doctors up to German standards, and our patients will be able to receive highly qualified diagnostics without traveling abroad," Tikaradze said.

According to the Ministry of Health, the work of "Deutsches Diagnosticum", especially in the conditions of the pandemic, will have a very positive effect on those wishing to receive medical services, as patients will be able to avoid the Covid regulations. The operation of the mentioned center also saves the patients' travel, living, food, transportation and other possible costs, time and money. The center, with the joint efforts of Georgian and German doctors, will first be opened in Tbilisi, and its services will gradually become available throughout the country.

"Deutsches Diagnosticum" will be headed by Giorgi Grigolia, Doctor of Medicine, a Georgian doctor working in Germany, together with his German colleagues, professors of leading university clinics.

"This is a diagnostic center that will be able to provide assistance to the population through telemedicine, teleradiology and full laboratory tests and offer German diagnostics on the spot, without leaving Georgia, for which they had to travel abroad. Our desire is to offer our German experience to our Georgian colleagues, and it will be by engaging with them and, of course, together with our German colleagues," explained Grigolia.

As mentioned in the information of the Ministry of Health, within the framework of the presentation, German doctors also held a conference, the main topic of which was telemedicine and teleradiology in modern medicine, as well as the future of German-Georgian cooperation.

Medical assistance center "Deutsches Diagnosticum" will start functioning from the end of October and it will work under the cap of the state medical holding.
